Working on mine. Have the rebuild kit from Classic Parts but the bushings are too big. Do I have to whip out the drill? Would it be better to just drill out the hinge enough for the bushings to fit? or drill the middle and bottom out all the way?

The best way is to use a press tool made for the hinge pins and bushings. ( I think Eastwood carries them. ) Use the drill only as a last resort...

They will press in. I bought an arbor press from harbor freight. It was cheap $30. And I've used it a hundred times since then. Should have bought one sooner.
