help in identify a 1952 chevy

    Hi guys just came across your site and thought you guys could help me identify the weight class of the truck I just got
    6cyc. 4 speed,dual wheels tag on drivers door reads 16,000 GVW
    is it a 1 ton or bigger

    I am thinking you have a 6400 which is a 2 ton truck. Check over at Stovebolt.com too 'cause they have a big bolt site that has a lot of these.

    My guess is either series 6100 or 6400, both of which are 2 ton trucks with G.V.W. of 16,000 lbs. 6100 series has a wheelbase of 137" whereas the 6400 series has a wheelbase of 161".
