    Hello

    Vehicle Info:
    1956 Chevrolet 3100 Stepside shortbed
    Engine & Transmission Info:
    1978 - Chevy - V-8 - Small Block 350 - TH400 automatic trans.

Rear axle from a Caprice - Front Suspension is mono leaf springs - Rear Suspension is stock - Front Brakes is CPP 5-lug disc conversion kit with brake booster. - Rear Brakes is stock Caprice drums.

    1955-57 Chevy Car - Radiator position: 6-cyl

I've got a problem with my stock front axle and stock spindles.

This winter (jan-march 2009), I installed CPP disc brake kit and new king-pins. I also mounted mono leaf springs in front.

The problem is that the front axle and spindles is in bad condition, so I'm not able to get everything "thight". The holes in the front axle is too big and the stock spindles is not good either.

What I've concidered is to replace my stock axle and spindles with new ones, but I would like stock front axle and stock spindles, so that I can use my mono leaf springs and new disc brakes. Do you know where I can get that? I can't find it anywhere..

The other opportunity I've got is to buy a new dropped axle, new stock spindles and king-pins and stock leaf-springs. But that will be expensive and I will have two almost new mono leaf springs left over....

Can you help me with some of this? Can you give me some suggestions what to do?

    what is not tight?

the pin in the axle ?
    the knuckle/spindle and axle ?
    the pin in the knuckle?

did you remember to replace the bushings in both the knuckle and axle?
did you get the right pin?
did you put the knuckle bushings in the right way?
