The answer to your question is: Get on the auto recyclers from a search engine or go to a local junk yard and have them start searching for the axle. But before you install it I would spend the time and check your pumpkin for any tampering. The reason I say this is "a friend" owned a 1965 Chev C10 with 3/4 ton 4x4 running gear under it that he bought. Four wheeling we noticed the right front tire never spun. We decieded to check the hub. There was no axle shaft. We spent 4 hours replacing a shaft that took 2 weeks and 150 dollars to get. There was snow on the ground so we decieded to test it. As soon as he turned on to the pavement there was a loud bang in the front end. The "new" axle was in two peices.
The previous owner decieded to weld the spider gears together in the front diff. to make a "Lincoln" locker. The entire front diff had to be replaced before he could replace the axle.

Hope this isn't your case but live and learn:)

I tryed searches and junk yards. nobody will sell just the part i need. they will only sell the whole front end for about $1,000. i did however find a driveline place local that can custom make my shaft for $150. that seems to be my best bet. i've also had the diff. cover off and looks fine in there. thanks for the advice pete.:)
