This is the interior that a customer chose for a 48 we did for him. I did not care for the seats which are swivel base units from a suburban that I cut the backs down to be lower that the rear window. The seat frames have an "S" curve in the back that is supposed to have something to do with lumbar and shoulder support. Andy could comment here. The black dash and trim is something I wouldn't consider but my billfold wasn't footing the bill. My upholstery guy added some lighter panels and body color piping to keep the interior from being as dark as a cave. Enough negative votes and I'm going to tell him to say he had it done somewhere else. The brake pedal pad, a/c drain hose, and accelerator pedal will be attended to.
I would rather have gray with the panels black, then the red piping wouldnt glare as much. The door panels are nice. I dont like the hard bend in the headliner but have the same crease in the middle of ours & dont have the $ or know how to change it. Are you happy with the way the seats work?
bright colors Hi Evan, here an other idea for inside colors. I love the combination off white and dark green. And the diamond pattern on the roof looks very fine. I think white interieur with red stripes were fine on your truck. If you use this as an daily driver the let the colors. I have to clean my seats every 2 weeks and blue jeans are the dead for the seats. The stripes in the middle of seats are in line with the stripes in my dash. my opinion is use clear line in the interieur and it's looks every day perfect. for my opinion your interieur is too restless and the grey stripe over the head is too big. ...and the complete upholstery incl. leather costs $900. Hmmm lot of money but i think i'm happy with the result Volker
Slick as usual~ I personally wouldn't want that, but what you did with it is pretty incredible! The crease in the headliner caught my eye, but I'd hate to tell the one who painstakingly cut and fit that to "tear it out and do it again". Volker. Great job on those two rides! Have you considered painting the screw heads inside your truck white?
Looks dated to me nice job, but i think i would have to describe it as the color combination looks to me a little dated - like the later 70's or so if I recall correctly. Some people really like a certain look or get stuck in a time period that they enjoyed and are not willing to move out of it. To each his own.
Red Raider? Evan, Did your customer happen to be a Texas Tech alum? That would explain the color scheme I can make allowances for school allegiance even if I don't like the school. Greg
The Cave As the old saying goes, there's no accounting for taste, and the customer is always "right". You gotta give the customer what he wants or he will not be back. Personally,I don't like the combination.
What ever floats the boat. I asked one of my friends about the color combo and arangement. He states it looks great then I remembered he is color blind and maybe so is your client, ??.
In Matters Of Taste ...The other person is usually wrong I'd not have it for free but if he likes it and can stand the laughter , good to go !
