1st what gage sheet metal is my 64 Chevy 1/2 pick up truck I need to do some patch work and I need to know the gage of metal to buy

2nd Pinion angel I bought and 79 rear end for my truck and I will be welding on the new pads soon. The 64 had rear end I pull out that was at 16 degrees and the truck was a long bed that I shorten the frame up to be a short bed truck. The 79 rear end has and pinion angle of 4 degree on the pads at this time when I pulled it out of long bed truck
So what would be the correct angle to set for my 64 short beds?

3rd To all I would prefer to buy new pads for the rear end from Chevy duty but the only way they sell them is in a kit with an adjustable track bar which I do not require. If any one has vendor please pass on the info to me
    Thanks
    Ozzie

The easiest way to tell the guage is to go to a welding supply store and buy a guage tool. As for the rest, sorry, can't help much.
