Switched my doors on my '52 chevy truck and are putting on a set from '48. How do you get it all to work bought new handles, latches, and strikers. Do I need to cut the cab for a fit or just switch to bear claw latches. Any ideas

Why are you switching them? If it is for 1 piece windows, just cut out the bridge at the bottom of the vent window and adapt the guts for the earlier stuff. If you are leaving door handles on, I much prefer the later handles for their ability to lock. If it is for rot problems, I don't blame you, try olting up the newer striker plates and see what you get.

I bought a pair of doors that were in better shape and had body work done already. Probably just take your suggetion and play with the striker plate.
    thanks
