Do anyone know how you fasten this panel to the back of the seat? No instructions came with it and I cannot find any in the Shop Manual or Accessories manual.

I think this was a Deluxe Cab upgrade?

I looked in the assembly manual and could not find it. Does the hole pattern match the top three holes on the top of the seat frame?

Those are not holes. They are notches and that is what has me confused. There are no holes in the panel. Other than gluing it to the upholstery, I cannot see how it attaches.

Greg, the seat back trim panel was part of RPO 390 which is the deluxe cab and equipment. From what I've read, it was installed so that you didn't see the springs in the seat back when you looked through the nu-vue windows from the outside.

The notches are cut so that the panel can fit snug against the back of the seat, where the seat back attaches to the seat frame. I do not know how it was actually attached however, sorry.

I've got an original somewhere and if I ever find it, I was thinking about using it an a template and make one out of the same material as the headliner and go from there.

    Hope that helps a little.

Here's what mine looked like. It was attached with something like the old paper fasteners: 2 long bendable tabs attached to a button head and stuck through the hole. Where did you find the replacement board?

    Larry,

I got it from Carter's. It is part no. UP222MR. There were no instructions and there are no pre-drilled holes in the panel. I am thinking some sheet metal screws with those concave washers used on the door panels might work. I would just pre-drill the panel and attach them to the vertical struts on the seat back. They should be low enough for no one to ever see them.
