I have a parrallel 4 link with air bags from air ride tech on the rear of my 51 3100. How much can you lower the vehicle without c notching the frame for more travel? I am wondering this to see how low my vehicle might be from the ground. I know the wheels matter but lets get hypothetical about it. i just ordered the c notch kit from CP and am wondering if i may want to make my own to make the vehicle low enough.

    THanks, Kyle

With that setup, why would you not notch it? Even if you aren't trying to ride it super low like mine, the notch will help ride quality by giving a litle extra travel. It is easy to install. You can make your own by splitting some 4" steel pipe, cutting out a half circle, and welding the c in. With a 4" c notch, the pumpkin in my truck would just hit the bottom of the bed.

those are nice and help greatly. i am building mine along with a friend building his, and he is worried about having a normal bed in the back with full depth. Did you have to raise the bed due to it being so low? I personally am fine with raising the bed, or notching the bed. This guy is not great with a "computator", so im trying to get him some ideas and visuals.

Not raising the bed was actually the reason I started looking at the IRS in the first place. I use my bed and didn't want to loose the depth.
