Ok I've got something figured out. I have taken hubs from a 65 1/2 ton and have found a bearing set that may work for the inner bearing. It is a BCA set 24. Problem is no one has any in stock for me to try. According to my spec book at work they will work. It is a metric bearing set and measures within .002 within limits. If someone can find these sets you might try them with a 65 hub. Will you ever find them again??? Know my next solution is the 65 hub with a bearing adapter from master power brakes. Part number ad1704. This will adapt the stock inner bearing from the 65 hub to the 52 spindle. Problem is it is to long so the drum will not go far enough back to cover the shoes. Needs to be about 1/2 inch shorter. Answer is I have local machine shop cutting it down. They have not gotten it done as of today, but said it should be no big deal. Hopefully by friday so I can try it out this weekend. This means you can have tapered roller bearings for cheap. You can buy the adapters for $16 a piece. There you go. And the 65 sets are of the shelf parts store parts. a-2 and a-5 sets. Seal is 4739 national if I remember. Stock 65 seal is to wide. Also there is a cover on the back of the 65 hub you have to knock off. :D:D:D

Any idea if these parts will work on a 55-59 spindle?

    I beleve spindle is the same from 51-59 1/2 ton Chevy/GMC w/o 4WD.
I KNOW the hub that contains the bearings and mounts on the spindle is the same in those years. I have a '52 Chevy hub on my '57 GMC left front.
