I have a 2000 F@#d Super Duty, a 1994 GMC Sonoma and my 1954 3100. The F@#d, although the diesel engine runs great at 250,000 miles always has something nickel and diming me to death. The Sonoma has had very few problems in the past 8 or so years that I have owned it. However, twice in the past year, my trusty 3100 is the only vehicle that is still dependable. It really is a testament to the quality of these trucks and durability of its simplicity. No window motor to go bad, sensors nor computers. My last problem with her was the cotter key got lost and the connecting rod that goes in to the carb from the gas pedal fell out. Easily rectified with a paper clip "cotter key". Life is good with these trucks. Josh
Exactly! That is exactly why I can't wait to get my truck done! I'm sick of the computer "stuff" that winds in and around the new(er) vehicles. All that for an AMAZING 20 mpg!
My '06 ram is a great driver...I highly reccommend them...It is comfy, roomy, reliable and powerful. I still drive my Chevy more often.
Um, that's a good question, 2 tons. I had the GMC first and it is pretty reliable up until lately. Still, I can't complain. I got the big truck when my wife was expecting twins and if I had to get a car payment I wanted something that could haul anything. And it can......when it runs. Then I found the '54......priceless.
