Six cylinder to v-8 swap

    I have been told on a 64 Chevy 1/2 ton six cylinder,the motor mounts are mounted at the rear on the crossmember and to install a V-8, you need to move the motor mounts to the front set of holes. Can anyone verify this and does the six cylinder mounts work on the V-8. Thanks.

    Thanks alot, thats exactly what I was looking for. My perches look like the ones for the 230 and V8 so it looks like I won't have to move anything. Thanks again.
