I have a 62 Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4, I have to adjust the brakes out about every other month. The brakes shoes can't be wearing down this fast, not in alot of mud or sand. Must be the slack adjusters backing off. No auto adjusters on this model. How can I keep the adjusters from backing off? Thanks Johnnir

inspect your adjusters, if the stars are worn, replace it. if the threads are stripped replace it. The threads should be clean and the piece that slides on the star end (that receives the brake shoe edge) should have some lube. (I use never-seize):7
