Ken asked for a picture of my 34 Chevy 5W coupe and it might get both of us in trouble. The engine is a 2003 Mustang Mach 1 unit. I wanted a hemi and have a 1957 Chrysler 392 but it is very heavy so I decided to use the all aluminum dohc 32 valve Ford which is a true hemi. My original intent was to use a dohc twelve port 302 GMC but first I ruined the prototype and now they have the Haas five axis mill booked up on paying work so that's out. The first shot shows my nephew standing by it to give an idea of it's stance and the next shows how I may run the plug wires but not sure whether to run them "racer style" or through chrome looms. I do hope the guys at Mallory or MSD don't become envious of my 2x4 distributor. One of the other shots has the 37 Chevy Business Coupe in the background though not well lit. All the panels have been fit and it is entering the final go-around before priming and painting. Ken, I won't be installing my precious Webers until final assembly since they cost one's first born child plus cash.

Evan, you are an evil man!

You just had to show me a picture of a '55 Nomad, didn't you? What's the story on that? Let me guess! 350 SBC, IFS, auto w/cruise, etc, etc, etc. I saw the '37. That's class, mi amigo! Need better pics though. The eyes are getting bad!

The last time that I looked at pictures of one of your projects I decided to put my 55.1 on a S 10 chassis. Now I see a 37 chevy coupe which is one of my favorite cars. The other is a 40 ford coupe.I get too much inspiration looking at your projects.Love the color on the Nomad. Can't wait to see your coupe finished. Thanks for the sneek preview.

Evan~ what a shop full of goodies! I couldn't imagine what it would be like to go to work with all that beautiful metal sitting there, begging for your attention!
As said before, I can't wait to see the final pictures of these!

Let me guess, they call your nephew "Tiny"?

Aw heck, you guys treated me so well on the east end of the shop photos I'll show the west end and if the web master doesn't kick me out I'll show the center which DOES have an AD. We all know Kens 50 ride is a beauty and it looks like Sonny has a couple sweet 55's also. The tan 34 cabriolet is all original and went home this last weekend and the blue one is waiting on braided stainless a/c and heater hoses, that's why the hood is off.

    Ahhh, to dream

What a place!!! What inspires you, Evan, to work on such things? How does one build such a reputation to bring in that kind of work instead of just a collision shop? Wow, the work is awesome.

    Volker,
Both the tan car and the blue car are 1934 Ford Cabriolets and both are all steel with the blue car having many modifications. The owner of both cars is putting the all original tan one on the market for $65k and hopes it will go to someone that will keep it original. The blue one was a street rod when he bought it 25 years ago and not very sanitary so we did some major metal work and modern upgrades. If interested I'll put you in direct contact with him so I will be out any dealings. One thing I will note is the car is the most rust free 34 I have ever seen and I've been seeing them since the early 1940's.

Thanks for the offer;) concerning the tan one but i'm looking for an project to go with to the absolut original condition. I'm sure i'm the right owner for the tan one but 65K is toooooo much. I need fun to repair/rebuild, i like it to discover my car/truck and all corners of rust and won't go to my garage and show my friends.
If you hear from a project car please let me know

    OMG! That's Awesome!

Evan, it may be a F*%d, it may be a dinosaur, but that is the most beautiful example of a '34 I've ever seen. No, I'm not talking about the blue one! I'm in love again. 21 stud flathead with a Stromberg? LeBarron Bonney interior?

Thanks man, you've made my otherwise sh*tty week worth it!

    Ken
