i'm ordering a 1406 for my 350, and my question is, will the stock accelerator and dedent cable from my 79 work on the new carb? or do i have to buy some sort of adapter? i already ordered the adapter for the manifold, so i'm good there.

Also, i'm thinking about running a switch for the electric choke, so it only turns on when i want it to. so like if i'm sitting in my truck with the radio on or something, i can flip the switch so i don't have my electric choke going. any ideas or suggestions on this one?

They will work, but you will have to make your own fasteners to hook the cable to the linkage. On the edelbrocks I've installed I just used a 1/4" bolt with two flatwashers and a locknut. Works great. As far as the choke goes, if you want to wire a switch in-line you could just wire it into the fuse block inside the cab instead of the factory choke location in the wiring harness. Good Luck!
