Will this clock fits the dash of a 1/2 t. truck ?

You may have to modify the bottom angle to groove with the angle of your dash.

Did this come off a 59 chevy car? I had a 59 Bel Air that rode great.

    54 Clock

That looks like a 54 truck housing, as well as the clock. There was a wind up and a electric. It was one of many accesories available back then. Mounts on the dash above and between the guage clusters. I know I wouldent modify it to fit, they are worth pretty good money. Chris

Reminds me of the wind-up clock that was in the '52 Chevy hardtop I had. (...briefly...)

    Funny you should say that!

I cut my teeth (literally) on the steering wheel of mom and dad's '52 back in the day! I won't bore you with the picture (which mom has shown to everyone since 1955!):D

    Come on, Big Brother!

You know everyone would love to see that!

I remember that clock being the only thing that worked on my car. I've also seen a picture of that dash in one of our beloved ADs. And I must say, they look REALLY cool!

Nice ! what's the date stamped on the backside of it ? .

VDO makes a nifty tachometer that'd go right into that housing ,it's a Marine tach and so only goes up to 4,000 RPM's , would be sweet in a '54 or '55.1 .
