Attached a picture from a front bumper guard , nice is `nt it. I `d think is one fore the bigger truck models. But did GM made these only fore the bigger trucks or are there known any guard like this fore the 1/2 t. truck to ?

    Thank you Martinius

That is a standard add on grille guard for back in the day. There was also one that looked like that, only bigger, then there were the headboard looking ones. Those would go on cars also.

    That's a rare one there , most went on 1/2 & 3/4 tonners .

They're out there , rusty like that but no worries , have it re-chromed .

My truck came with this one on it, but not sure if is orignal to the truck. It fits the bumper well and looks to belong.

That is one of the more common ones, some were even put on cars. There is a bigger one that has 2 cross bars. The chrome on most of them is usually gone, or they are bent and dented. There were lots of aftermarket ones also. Looks good on your truck.

    Bumper guards 1/2 ton.

    Hey Bigt442

Its a beautifull bumper guard you have there. There is a difference between yours and the other one i can see. Its offcourse the guard with the 3 horizontal bars that belongs to the 1/2 ton truck.

Thank you for your picture Martinius.

Looks like a grinder would make it fit the 1/2 ton.

They aren't repro'd yet, but they do pop up here and there. The challenge is getting the people to turn them loose, and they all need chroming. A friend has a small one and a large one, and I know of 2 others, but no one seems to want to let them go.

    The Sad Part Is :

Most guys who buy a truck with it , don't like it and remove it , loosing the unobtanium hardware then never want to sell it and a few years later when asked , say they just tossed it out :(

Tought of sending you truck people a picture of my truck 09 at home on the farm in Norway.
The engine is tuned and overhauled now.Next step are the rear brake drums and building in the 4 speed saginaw.
Still have the Texas plates on it , but in 2010 new norwegian plates will come.
