My 1951 didn't have an oil filter when I bought it. I now have the hoses and the filter housing that mounts on the intake manifold but where exactly do the hoses attach to the engine block? It has the original 216 engine. Thanks in advance.

    Nate,
Don't know if the set up for my oil filter is the same as yours, but here is what I have. I have a 49 235cu, not full pressure. The oil filter is mounted on the intake manifold. The side hose from the filter is teed up with the oil pressure line at the bottom of the block. The bottom hose from the filter goes into the lower portion of the block about 4 inches toward the front of the engine from the oil pressure/other hose from the filter. If I look into the manifold side of my engine and look down at the exhaust pipe I can see the filter connections, one just to the left of the exhaust pipe and the other to the right of the exhaust pipe. Hope this helps.

    Jim:)

If you send me a Fax number I can send you a picture of where you should mount them.
