    Hey, guys

Does anyone knows the colorname and colornumber/producername of this "Nauticblue" like color, (attached pics.) I have noticed truck owners sprying there trucks with this fantastic color.

Great if I could get some help Martinius:)

Here are two Mariner Blue trucks, R-M code #211, at a car show near me. Both trucks look to be close to correct in the restorations. Your paint store can contact the PPG color library and get a cross over to a modern paint formula. Most of these old color codes are for laquer paint.

His name is Tim Lederman. I don't think he visits Chevytalk much. go to stovebolt or oldgmctrucks.com and look for user tclederman. He lives in NY and is as nice a guy as you will ever meet. I have his e-mail address nut am hesitant to post it without his permission. If you don't find him, send me a PM and I will get you his e-mail address.

I sent him an e-mail with a link to this thread. Maybe he will check in sometime soon.

    Martinius,

What year paint code are you looking for?

Note that the code on the Autocolor sheet is hand-marked correctly as a 47-52 code. If you are looking for a 53-55 code for Mariner Blue, it is lised on the page at the link I sent you and is posted in the other thread.

If tcpglobal (AutoColorLibrary) does not have the 53-55 Mariner Blue paint code, PPG does have it. Instructions for obtaining modern codes are given at the bottom of the page at the link I sent you. If you need assistance contacting PPG, I'd be please to help you.

    Tim

    Mariner Blue

    Tim,

The chart does list both series of Mariner Blue.

1953 Mariner Blue is 4 down from the top middle.

That looks to be real close to Mariner Blue, which was the original color my 1953 1/2 ton came from Norwood Ohio Chevrolet plant.
It was a popular color then.
    Cheers
