I am swapping my cab and bed from a 62 1/2 ton GMC to a 66 3/4 ton GMC frame. The 3/4 ton frame has no drive line. Will my 1/2 ton drive line fit? Any information on this swap will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not as familiar with GMCs' as I am with Chevys', but, it should go in fine.

there is differences in the frames! I have a 62 and I put on a 65 bed onto it and the mounting holes are in a different place. You will have to change the cross sills on the bed and drill new holes to be able mount the bed on the different frame. I am not sure but I beleive the cab mounts are the same on both frames. Good Luck on your swap!:)

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Jul-09-02 AT 09:22 PM (CST)]I have another question about my 66 frame, it had originally a v6, I am puting in a 327 c.i. Will I have to move the motor mounts on the frame in order for it to fit? I am not very far into this project but would like to find out from you guys who have already done this sort of thing.
