Hey guys, I just happen to have a 409 engine out of an Impala. I also just happen to have a 1960 stepside with the 235 six. Is this engine swap going to be a nightmare or can it be done fairly easily?
Thanks for any input and ideas,
    Daryl

Well the 409 was an option motor in later trucks. I know it was listed as an option in my 64. just not sure when it started.

You will most likely have to fabricate the mounts as those were rare combinations. But, as the frame and engine bay has the room to hold it, it could be done.

Cowboy, I don't know of any other 409's or any 348's for sale. I got lucky in that my father in law had the one that I now have, and it is not for sale. Good luck,
    Daryl
