Hi guys , I NEED HELP AGAIN!!
I have a 1960 Chevrolet pickup with a long wheel base. It is a fleetside. I just bought a brand new replacement gas tank that goes behind the seat from Brother's Truck Parts. I put it in and filled her up. Now I was going to school so, I haven't had much time to work on her. Well today I went to start it , to only find that I had no gas left in the tank. What the HELL???? So I looked and to my astonishment I found that the tank has been leaking for quite some time. It is brand new and was leaking on the side and bottom around the weld seams. This is scary because I was trying to start it today, and I have open headers, The fumes could have exploded. So, I am taking this back. I really want to re-locate my gas tank, but all the gas tanks I find for underneath the bed are for 1963 and later. I don't want to take another chance like that. Who the hell makes these gas tanks by the way? I could easily sue them. My brand new carpet is soaked and ruined. PLEASE HELP ME!
    Mike:(

A number of folks have successfully used a Jeep CJ tank.
Here are a couple of examples.
