Two big problems! First Ive never used a Forum before. Second, Ive just bought a 1987 Chevy Silverado with a rebuilt 355CID. The previous owner had the engine built for him and knows nothing about it other than its a 350 bored .030 over. It has a edelbrock 500cfm carb. a edelbrock performer RPM intake. Its bogging out off the line then backfiring through the exhaut when you let off the gas. How do i find out what the timing should be so i can start tuning?
