:( I need to know if there is any way to hook up a 5 speed transmission out of a camaro, firebird, etc. I already have a 3 speed manual trans (column shift) in my '63 half ton fleetside. The engine in it is a 230 cid straight six. I just need to know what bellhousing is avaiable to bolt onto engine (aftermarket or junkyard). I can fabricate halfway decent, so if there are any modifications necessary I could probably handle them.

There's lots of referneces on the web but basically you need to find a T-5 from an S-10 with a 4.3 liter engine. If you get one newer than 93, you'll need a converter to to switch from an electrical pulse to a cable drive( pricey) or install new speedo.

You may also need to switch from a mechcanical clutch linkage to hydralic.

Thanks for the info. So what you're saying is that the trans. from the S-10 will bolt right up to my bellhousing for my 3 speed manual?
If that works it will be easier than I thought.
