A couple of you have asked for pictures of my spare tire side mount bracket. Here they are. Let me know if you need specific dimensions.
A spare spare rack... I have one of these I am not going to use. If anyone is interested, let me know. Greg
Shipping? Charles, Let me see if I can find out how much it will cost to ship this and I will get back to you. Greg
Here are the dimensions for the tire side mount. Hope it helps. I'm not a draftsman. Let me know if you have more questions. Jerry
Appreciate getting dimensions so I can fabricate a knock off of your sidemount thanks. Joel at portmcdowell@comcast.com Thanks J
Thanks for the dimensions! Two quick questions. The lip on the two sides of the flat triangle piece appears to be about 1/2", is this about right? Secondly, what is the approximate diameter of the round stock for the braces? Thanks, again. Josh
Josh, The lip on the triangle piece is a 1/2" and the round stock is also a 1/2 inch. Good luck, Jerry
Charles, et al., Three people indicated an interest in my side mount within a few minutes of each other. Some by post and some by PM. I think it will cost about $25.00 to ship and I think $25.00 is a fair price for the mount (making a total of $50). Anyone still interested... I am thinking of a number between 1 and 14.5. The person that is closest will get the mount [assuming you are still interested]. Sorry to have taken so long to reply. It has been pushing 80° in Texas, this week so I have been getting a lot of outdoor work done. Greg
Robert, here is a link to pics of the spare tire mount off of my truck. It is not the one that I mentioned selling. The one for sale is yellow and as mentioned in a PM has one of the support rods that is bent some. I feel it could easily be straightened. My original intention was to possibly modify the extra for a 5 bolt wheel so I would not have to damage my original. I don't know if that will ever happen or not as I bounce back and forth between the idea of going back to 6 bolt stock style wheels or changing front drums to 5 bolt car drums to keep the wheels that are on the truck now while getting rid of the adapter plates that have been on it for the last 40 years. I cannot find pictures that I have taken of the yellow tire mount. Also, the mounting bolts are damaged or missing as it was difficult removing the spare tire mount from the parts truck when I bought it. http://good-times.webshots.com/album/563620640XXpKdr?vhost=good-times
Had Second thoughts on this idea of this new game, I have two tire holders on my truck already and really do not need more. Thanks for offering it anyway. Regards, Charles ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm interested. I'm still acquiring parts for my rebuild, and I'd like to have the side mount, as I do have the correct fender on hand. Brother in Law lives off Culebra, down the road from you... I'm Bill Brubaker, wgbruba1@live.com
Sorry Bill... The side mount will be on its way to Yodaman as soon as I get the check in the mail. Greg
