Looking good! Sand blasting sure does speed up the work. Dont forget the GMC and chevy front crossmembers are different. Chris
Wolf, don't get your hopes up! Bill just moved from deep S. Tx to Magnolia. He's only a 15 minute drive from me. I'm sure I can persuade him to put a chevy front end on and make the world a prettier place! BTW Bill, those trucks look good. I noticed that you waited until fall to sandblast. I like it cuz i drove around 50 -60 miles the other day in 65F weather and still had 45-50psi oil pressure running down the road

Did a little more work recently. Started some paint work on Father's Day weekend. See if I can post a pic or 2. Get the engine and transmission installed, mount the cab, add doors, and we can load her up and bring her to Magnolia, Texas.

Paul, Remember he is using a Chevy and a G to make one, He is most likely still using the Chevy Frame, if so hopefully he changed out the crossmember?? Most likely the hairline cracks on the Chevy were just an easy fix. Had it been a G, he would have had to use the 55-59 G service manual's many pages on how to fix G frame caverness cracks. Nate, Here's what the engine looks like... The bell housing and transmission got orange. Set the cab on the frame, back from where it belongs until the eng. and trans are installed. Zig, about that crossmember... is the radiator the only problem with using the Chevy crossmember, or are there other problems as well. I'm considering modifying the radiator support to account for the difference in height if that's the only problem. The engine is already a '55 Chevy, so it will bolt right in on the chassis...
Unfortunately, I can only come up with one meaning for MF..... Help me out a little please? I doubt you want me to respond to the definition I have for MF....
Massey Ferguson. Builder of very fine farm tractors and lawn tractors. We bought our first lawn tractor in 1970 and that MF is still in the shed!
As Ken had stated Massey Ferguson, and not MoFo. I could not read the #'s on the tractor that had the forks on it.
