    Howdy,
I just bought my 66 fleetside this year and I've been having a ball tinkering with it getting everything working 100% again. I have had good luck so far and haven't broken anything thing I couldn't fix!! I do have one question for you experts out there. I have what appears to be an electrical accessory (thing) under the hood, the problem is I have no idea what it is or what it is supposed to do. It has electrical wire connection points on two sides of it. It is a small metal clad box measuring roughly 3"x3"x5" and is mounted on the firewall. There aren't any identification markings on it (the sticker wore off). There is currently one wire hooked to it, it runs to a toggle switch mounted near the headlight. Check out a picture of it at the following link: http://community.webshots.com/user/66chevytruck100. It was there when I bought the truck, the guy I bought it from didn't know what it was either, he guessed it was an old time kill switch.
    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks,
    66chevy

I think it may be a thmero-nuclear device. DON'T THROW THAT SWITCH !!!

Seriously, I have no clue. Remove it and take it apart.

It's not original. Something added so I'd remove it.
