I keep thinking I am close to being finished and something else pops up.
Powered everything up and found that the stop light switch seems to doing the opposite of what it should. The light is on with the pedal up and turns off with the pedal pressed (in).
The switch wire is attached to the "Bat" connector on the main light switch. I tried reversing the polarity on the stop switch and it does the same thing.

    What am I missing?

Assuming it is the correct switch for the job, you have the switch mounted backwards.

Greg, let's start with the switch. Looking at the firewall from the front of the truck, the arm goes to the left, correct? It is "sprung" to where it goes "up" when the brake is not engaged, right? When you depress the brake, it causes the arm on the switch to go in a downward direction, right? That's the way it is designed to work. If that's the way it works, check the switch itself to see if it is working as designed. Remove both wires. Hook up an ohmmeter to it and see what the resistance is when the switch is "up". It should show a lot of resistance showing an open circuit. Now press the arm down, which should complete the circuit. Your resistance value should drop to almost zero. If those steps work, the switch is OK and you've got a wiring issue.

If the above works, check to make sure that you've got it wired correctly into the light switch. (Check your shop manual for the correct post on the switch).

    Hope this helps!

I am going to try and pretend that the Texas heat got to my brain after a long day. The return spring on the brake pedal came off. The pedal sagged when I thought it was up.....Nevermind!!!!

This is why I keep yammering about how the pedals (both brake and clutch) must return to the toe board with an audible " thump " .

FWIW , this switch is very common and is sold in both NO and NC versions as it's the single most popular PTO or bed up switch I've ever seen .

It is also made and sold in left and right configurations .
