Chrome Grille and a/c vents and housings

I recently purchased an 1987 Stepside. I have ordered just about everything I need for the restoration however I am having trouble locating a grille. Specifically I am looking for the reproduction of the stock grill, which i can find in a whole bunch of colors (gray, argent ect) except I want it to be in all chrome, not a color. I have seen them before on other trucks, but cant locate one now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In addition I am having trouble locating a full vent package with the housings. I am converting from non a/c to a/c. Any help with that would be appreciated as well. Thanks in advance.

I have read a little more on this board and see someone was asking about possibly putting a suburban grill from 1991 onto the stepside. They are all chrome and nice, is this possible?

For the '89-91 grill, you need to swap out the core support and get the grill, headlight bezels, and lights from the style you want: http://coloradok5.com/grilleswap.shtml

I've never seen a full chrome '85-88 grill, do you mean the stock Silverado style with chrome trim like this?

Yes it was like this, except the white on yours was chrome.

Those trim pieces are removable and you can buy them from Classic Parts, but it looks like they are pre-painted white. If you can't find chrome ones anywhere, you could try painting them with chrome spray paint.

Thats exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a lot bro, I really do appreciate it. Anyone else have any insight about the chrome grill? I know I have seen them before.

That one is for the newer body style ('88-98) and won't work with the '81-'87(-'91) trucks.
