    Ok boys....

all of sudden, my 63 developed rear flashers.... and I don't have flashers.

i turn on the key and both brake lights start flashing...

I recently had a new steering gear box installed and they reset the steering wheel so it would be straight...

    could that have caused this?

on the bright side...people don't drive close to me 'cause they think something is wrong...

Sounds like something to do with your turn signals. Pull the flasher out of your fuse panel and see if it stops then see if you still have brake lights.

    Rustbucket,
Funny our '66 just recently started the same "flashers with no flashers" problem. On ours the right signal works but if you pull down to turn on the left signal it kicks into flasher mode. In order to turn off flasher mode you have to signal right again. Did you find the answer to your problem? Our column is a bit loose but the signal cam is new. Thinking about getting one of those aftermarket signal/flasher switches.

Mine did the same thing. I was messing with my headlight switch and wires under the dash. Sorry I have no solution. Mine just fixed itself on its own. I wish my alternator would fix itself too.
