Sitting here digging metal out of one hand and perusing my recent pictures. One in the shop is a ratty old 1940 that Justin just finished up on and the other is where a guy put a later model bed on that did it right. I prefer the original bed but so many late swaps are botched that this one caught my eye. The late beds fit the 54 and newer.
Ken: Did you notice the (I think) '37 Plymouth out at the far left of the first picture. Maybe it is the one Evan bought instead of the one we evaluated for him??
Love the 40! That is a -slick- truck, Evan! Nice work! The new bed on the 64 would look better if the step was lowered down to where it should be. (In front of and behind the rear fender.) I know it would be a lot of work, but it would match up better...
Bill, the 37 Plymouth is going s-l-o-w-l-y like all non-customer projects. The factory frame has been boxed with IFS and coil rear and is pretty much ready. The body has been patched and worked but lots left to do there.
