[updated:LAST EDITED ON Oct-22-02 AT 05:25 PM (CST)]Hey all, I'm trying to wire up my heater and the diagram I have is not clear as to how the wiring hooks up. I understand that one wire go's to the blower and 3 wires go from the resistor to the 3 prongs on the back of the round heater knob, but which one go's to which? ******************************************************************** EDIT: Well, never mind. Sorry, I see now there are letters next to each prong on both the resistor and the knob. The letters H, L , & M, are clearly marked on them!!! DUH!!! ********************************************************************* EDIT: Ok, one more thing I'm confused about. Where does the hot wire plug into. I can see on the diagram that it comes in from the fuse panel but it's way to fuzzy to see which prong it plugs into. ********************************************************************* Thanks! i think that there is a fuse that is marked heater or something like that. that that wire hooks too. cowboy 1961 chevy 1/2 ton shortstep known as sarah (496 bbc coming sooner or later) p.s did ya'll know that 1961 fliped upside down and backwards it 1961.
Yeah, I ran a wire coming from the fuse panel already but I dont know which prong to hook to on the back of the heater switch. The whole wiring system was shot in this truck, I have been redoing it entirely by hand. I think the heater blower may have a problem though, I put 12 volts to it and it wont spin. I'll have to take that apart this weekend. Thanks, '66 C10 Fleetside LWB 350/350
When you put 12 volts to it, was the motor grounded? (still in the truck?) If it was grounded, and you got zip, the blower motor is shot.
Thats what I was afraid of... :'( Do you happen to know which prong on the back of the heater knob the hot wire from the fuse panel go's too? '66 C10 Fleetside LWB 350/350
