    You answered your own question

It is called a "tee" fitting or simply a "t".

It is a brass fitting found in the plumbing section. I am assuming it is for the oil pressure line and filter? I believe it is 1/4" pipe thread, but I may be wrong. Look in the plumbing section at a home supply place, Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.

I'll take a stab...."Heim Lagerhaus", but not all translations are literal. They do have some large home stores in Germany, but doubtful if any will have non-metric fittings.

In Germany we say OBI or Hellweg or Bauhaus to a DIY market. and Yes they have Fittings with inch. If Not you can go to your Next Installateur for plumbing and waterlines, sorry for the German/englisch mix

    Thank you for the lesson

    Hello,
thank you guys for teaching. I ask this question while I had a problem with this fitting. I had made by myself, I can work on machines where I build such fittings. I made it of brass and it broke on the thread that fitts to the nut that is fixed in the motor block. i don't know why maybe it was a assemble fault by my self. The thread that goes to the nut is long enough so I will try to connect it again. I saw it on a web site of our sponsor but i could remember the site and the correct term.
Background: I'll get today a visit from journalists of a Germany magazine of classic cars. They phone me and ask if they can make a story of restoring a pick up. I don't know how they would like to see my truck. I didn't phone them.
Wednesday a freind of mine and me we started the engine, it comes immediately but suddenly there was a gread oil puddle under the truck. One flop again.

Hang in there Wolfgang. Hopefully the puddle is only a small fix. Good to see the Deutschland group is still following the blog.

    T fitting is closed

    Hello,
after I had threaded the T-fitting and screwed it to th fitting in the engine block, we started the engine again to see what will happen. Oil is tightly,:D but now the gasket from the manifold makes trouble. :mad:What this is, I don't know. The engine blowes out. Maybe I had pulled the screws in the wrong order, maybe the gaskets are distroyed. I will buy a new gasket, has anyone a good tip where I can get a gasket kit in a very good qualitiy?

I used 2 gaskets and the copper RTV sealer between them. Make shure all gasket surfaces are clean before assembly.

You can buy the original compression brass fittings from the truck/car vendor "The Filling Station" in Portland Oregon.
