Anyone know where I can obtain a lift kit for a '66 C-20 two wheel drive? I'm tired of all these slamed trucks, I want to lift mine about 2". Thanks!
I'm not a fan of lowered trucks either. Mine rides unpopularly high. I'm running stock front springs on a 1975 front suspension, and Sky Jacker 2.5" Jeep lifting springs in the rear. Hey jarhead69, refresh my memory here. '66 chevy rearends were torsion bar type suspensions, right? I'm thinking that the installation of air shocks in the back would achieve the desired lift. For around $75 to $80, you could raise it to whatever you wanted within limits. I agree with both of you guys when you say you like a higher look on a truck. It has coil springs on all four corners. I have thought of going to a spring shop and talking to someone there. Thicker coils and just a tad longer too. Maybe bagging it but where I live there is an abundance of mesquite and they arent too kind on rubber bags. My truck IS a truck and is used as such. I throw things in the bed that are too big to be hauled any other way and sometimes I go down a road (actually a glorified cowtrail)and the mesquite put pinstripes in the paint! SOOOOO tired of these pavement queens. Is it a truck or not? Thanks guys!!
