49 project, any hints or tips?

    Just got a 49, great shape no rust.
    I am planning to put IFS front and 4 link rear, with 350 v8
    Any one give advise on what Works or does't.
    Any info on headers that fit also

    Pictures are always a good thing to start with so the guys here can see what you have. Also so we dont have to call you capthippo all teh time a name helps also.

    I highly reccommend Fatman Fab front ends. I have installed 2 and all go in easily. For a 4 link, check www.suicidedoors.com. Pick your rear axle first, then order the front so they can match the bolt pattern on the kit.

    Block hugger headers work the best and easiest.

    If you're working on a budget then you can use the 67-72 Camaro- Nova sub frame. They have a rear steer which will work well and keep your steering column located in the proper position.....Big Tim :cool:

    As stated, we'd love to see pictures of your baby!
    Does it still have the original drive train? 3 on the tree or 4 speed?
    Does it run?
    Just asking because I'm sure someone out there would love the block and tranny.
