battery box

    I never like the idea of going on the inside of the cab to get to the battery so i mounted it to the firewall.

    I like the gas ram idea on the hood. :cool:

    I rather like it too (after I figured out what you meant). Robert, is the battery tray original and just re-located? Looks like it's meant to be there! Good job, man!

    Actually, the idea of assisting the raising of the engine cover with the use of nitrogen charged telescopic supports is rather unique and shows a personal understanding of leverage and forces way above the average home mechanic and I applaud your ingenuity and ability in taking a simple idea through to it's completion.

    It got lost in translation:p

    I took the original box off the frame and mounted it to the firewall. The box is a marine battery box I got from Autozone and modified it to fit the tray.

    I relocated my battery to the firewall too,but its only sitting on a tray. I feel exposed now!:eek:

    Good idea, Robert. I had thought about cutting out a spot in the passenger side fender well to locate my battery, but that looks like alot less hassel!
