Pictures conversion Patricks/Saginaw 4 speed Overhauled and ready for use/facts upgr.

    Hi guys

I finished overhauling the transmission today and i wanted to share the pictures i made from the conversion Patricks/Saginaw 4 speed. The only thing i have not managed to do yet is to put the cotton pins behind the levers and rod connections. But the tranny is shifting smooth in a H pattern with the Reverse backwords to the right when lifting up the stick pushing it gently.
To support the the new tranny its needed to mount a new type tranny support. Patricks sells it for 60 dollars.

Additing this link to show some alternatives.

Nice neat work Martinius, Did you have to make a bracket? I know you will love the way it drives now.

    Mecanicall working process !

    At first

Patricks by Patrick Dykes the owner can send you the operation manual wich is `nt hard to undertand.

Some practicall advices are to buy a used remanufctured Saginaw 4 sp. tranny that has good potensials with 3.11 1. st. gear and 2 grooves on the input.

Then you have to buy a complete conversion kit for the saginaw 4 speed
from Patricks + the new tranny support.

I `ll also recommend to do the rearend swap aswell as it has the 3.55:1 ratio that goes very well with the 4 sp. tranny. Patricks have the needed parts to.

    Martinius.
