What is the easiest way to remove the "undercoating" on my 72 chevy?

It looks as if it was a very sloppy coating when it was applied. I would like to re-coat, but I need to remove the original coating first.

    Thank you,

    Lorenzo

    hi,
I'm just doing this on my 57 for the moment and the best way I've found is ordinary chemical paint stripper. For me it's not a problem cause I want everything to the bare metal but in case not be very careful for the paint.A thermic stripper can also soften thicker areas.
    Hope this help.

Aircraft paint stripper, it will remove almost everything.
