You can pirate the glass from an earlier truck, then cut out the division bar mount in your door. Put the felt track all the way around and install the window. You may have to switch to earlier door window actuators also. Or just grab some doors off an earlier truck. The 51 doors are a 1 year only door, last of the turn down handles, first of the vent windows. I use my vents regularly, they make great air scoops on those balmy southern days.

    Re:One piece glass

I did this on my 53 a few years ago. The regulators are indeed different as Russ says, having three arms instead. I hated it, really missing the wing windows. If you don't have AC in your truck you're gonna need them. I changed it back the following year and would never have one piece glass again.

Google "Hagan" and I think they have "vent window eliminator kit" listed and if not it's in their catalog. If you have a/c it's fine but the vents are a friend when you don't. We use Dynamat, bubble foil, jute, and still get heat in the cab.

    trying to understand why

Hey Ryan - just trying to understand why you would want to do this. I agree with with others that these wing windows are very functional and provide a lot of air circulation. Do you just not like the look of them?
