    Welcome aboard Eric.

    Hey Eric

You can read my post about overhauling the 235 engine. I have the same engine size and year. There has some work to be done as it is a 1950 truck. It has to be an 235 CU Blueflame engine as it came from a 1955 passenger car i`ll gues ? Patricks is a very good resourse and if you need any new parts or advice you can ask him directly as he is a very nice gentlemen and gives excellent service. So does Tom Langdon Stovebolt from Michigan to.

Mr. Patrick Dykes the owner of Patricks antique cars and truck in Casa Grande has a very good review about this engine subdject. It tells you everything you need to know about "how to" swap your engine !
The 1955 engines have some other spesifications then the 54 or 53 wich are a bit easyer to rebuild so they fit in .

I wish you all the best of luck with your truck rebuilding and remember , we love pictures if you have us to show in a time and a while.

    Regards Martinius.

hay, hows it going federale....yes the truck is real solid, for a Kansas truck. Most of the time when you find a truck out here you can put your hand through the rust. Iam going back to all stock with it. Except I want to lower it, switch it to 12v and put a 235 in it. I have a lot of work ahead of me I will keep you guys posted and more pics.

    patrick 's antique parts.....maybe someday

The very very long wait for my spare parts

Is one that someone has already had problems with delivery patrick antique parts?
I ordered on September 13 ,and I have received only part of my parts just before Christmas!
they are supposedly specialists in gm 6 cylinder, but they have nothing in stock n!!
It is very difficult for me because, I have the habit to order to summit racing in which they are very fast

    Patience my friend

The Patricks buisness is an solid old fashion "gentlemans agreement" firm and sometimes it needs to show some patience. They are olderly but very trustworthy people i know them personally and talk to them weekly. The best way to order your parts is to make a direct phone call to them and talk to Patrick himself or his son and agree about the delivery date for your ordered parts. It depends on what kinda parts you have ordered really. Engine or transmission parts are not allways easy for them to deliver on scedule as some of there suppliers have had difficulties in producing the wanted parts. I have never had any difficulties with them but had them parts coming sooner or a bit later , most time a bit later wich i dont mind really :) But i understand that other people can become frustrated ! If there is something you dont like when buying from Patricks its posseble to give them a phonecall or send them an e.mail and tell your situation right ?.

    Good luck next time Martinius.
