I've never been to one of these before, are they any good?

Do they usually have a lot of stuff at them for our older trucks or is it typically a lot of things for all different cars. In other words, living in Santa Clarita, is it worth it to commit my day to go down there?

    Oops ~

Here it is Sunday 07:50 and I just now see this thread.... :( .

I'da happily met you guys .

Anyways , yes there's scads of good stuff there *if* you know what you want and are patient ~ I got a pristine running board for my '49 3100 there for $35.00 :) .

Also many many hard parts over the years , dirty & greasy but ready to be serviced/rebuilt/repaired as necessary and then pressed back into service .

I really enjoy the Car Corral where only a few of the vehicles are actually for sale , mostly it's just groups of guys hanging out and having fun , maybe some rich foll will wander by and actually pay more than the going price for whatever they have there .

It is also a terrific place to find super cheap stuff if you're willing to place a sign on your back describing what you want.....

old cars & trucks , beer & food , easy going people who are mostly very interested in talking about their rig so you can learn .

You might be able to show yours off, but mine....well let's just say it's not ready

    Ron,

I missed the LB swap meet unfortunately. If we meet up sometime, you will be the one doing the showing off with your truck since mine is in the middle of the "restoration" process. It seems I have to do all of the work myself because anyone here locally I try to take it to I have to pay their shop rate to figure out how to perform work on the truck and then pay them to perform the work once I have already paid them to learn how to do it. I am currently taking all of the fenders, bed, etc off to hopefully get those media blasted soon along with the cab. If you have any good contacts locally for any of that work that you could pass along, I would greatly appreciate it. It just seems hard to find those that are well versed in restoring these older trucks. I have attached some pictures so you can see where I am currently at with the truck.

    Great place to go!

I was there. I remember going to this lake a couple of times for fishing tournaments. (Bass) Great lake!
Enjoy your trip, Ron. I'm sure you'll have a blast!
