I took the bed off yesterday and hauled it to the scrap yard. It is one heck of a project but it's gonna be a fun one. I'm getting excited about the Charlotte auto fair this weekend,,,I got a huge list of parts i need to get:D

Just a update,, I pulled the rear end and started grinding away on the frame. I got some por-15 chassis restore to spray on it. I got a few buddy's coming over this weekend to help me pull the cab off. I definitely got the motivation to get this truck going,,,i even dream about working on it. Sure is a great hobby. I will post more pics of my progress.

Good enough to be a California Desert truck in fact .

What , *specifically* was so wrong with the bed you scrapped ? .

The sides and front panels where rusted about half way up the panels from all the trash laying in the bed. Every crossmember was shot. The fenders could have been repaired but the guy gave me 2 good ones with the truck. I saved the tail gate to hang in my garage:D
