I want to replace my exhaustfrom mnifold to tailpipe it hassome rot out back and is getting thin elsewhere, I looked at the sponsors website and may have missed itbut I did not see anything. Where do I get an exhaust or does it have to be custom made? I took it to a local flowmaster installer but he says he just installs thier kits and does not have a bender to make a custom exhaust, though he did give me tehname of another dealer that could do it but ata cost of nearly $400.00 US.

    Cheap exhaust

    Hi Bill,

I went through this problem also. Searched high and low for a supplier. Finally found a place in Florida. Kepich Exhaust. Their phone number is
1-(800) 365-5764, local number (239) 267-2550. I paid $175.00 including shipping to NY and the system was complete from manifold to tailpipe. Correct style and size of muffler to fit stock hanger as well. My truck is a '55 first series, but the engine is a '57 235. I told the guy at Kepich this and he made sure I had the proper engine pipe to fit the flange on the manifold. The only thing I had to do was to cut one pipe a little to shorten it up, but I think they ship it that way on purpose as a little "fudge factor", better too long than too short.

Very satisfied with them. Hope they are still around. Bought from them in December of 2006

I got the 53 done at the local Meineke. Find the old guy that has been doing it forever, he'll appreciate getting to work on something older and simpler.

After 3 muffler shops couldn't get to it today, Mienekie did it for me. Turned out very nice...

I know how to say it , not how to write it so you'll understand but no worries ~ just drive it in and pop the hood , they'll love it and fix you right up .

Funny how this works ~ I live in a Ghetto / Barrio and most of the folks here young & old , have the newest trucks they can afford but _EVERYONE_ knows me , the crazy old guy with ONLY I - 6 powered old GM trucks that have no mufflers & run well if look a bit scruffy  .

The Mexican license plate I have jammed in the windshield of my '76 GMC seems to garner approval too .

    I miss it.

On a side note, The guy who has been helping me on the doc.'s truck and the 1967 Impala and I are going in with another friend (with the 63 vette) and starting a real live hot rod shop. Classic speed and custom.
