Ok we determined that the brake rod may be the problem. I am gonna try to find a correct one. What year models will work.My truck has factory power brakes, is rod different between power and non power. I'm thinking 62 thru 72 should be direct replacement. What yall say? THANKS FOR THE HELP.

Whats wrong with the one you already have? Can you adjust it or shorten it? All you need is just a little clearance between the rod and the master.

I remember him saying the rod was rigged up to begin with. Replacement would be optimal. I see in LMC only 2 boosters listed, one with a vertical bracket and one with a horizontal bracket. Take a look at which one you have then go from there.
