Do you have another dash light tha goes off with the low beam? My bet is that the wrong dash light is in the wrong hole.

I checked that last night. I in fact did have them in wrong position. When I dimmed the lights to off with the light switch reostat one remained on. I figure this was the high beam indicator. However it still stays on steady.

Troy, you most likely have the indicator light wired into the wrong pole on the dimmer switch. Its pretty easy to access at the bottom of the firewall. Use a tester and find the terminal that is hot when high beams are on. Wire the light onto this pole.
