I've got a '67 283 I'm planning to use to replace my dead '64 230 in my '64 p/u. I've run into some problems. First will the clutch and flywheel assembly off my 230 with the granny 4 speed work on the 283 and with the 283 starter. Also I found that the mount for the clutch linkage to the engine on the 230 won't mount to the 283. I really appreciate all the help so far. Olddad20:+

The bellhousing and granny will fit fine on the V8. I can't help with the Z bar ( that clutch linkage thingie on the engine) You will most likely need the V8 z-bar. Dennis
