Current pics at 96% complete

    Here's a couple of shots of "Midnight Rose" as of today. Had the engine running, A/C is charged, stereo speakers in, hardboard mounted on the rear wall in preparation for carpeting. Air suspension all hooked up, electric windows installed and working well. Mostly interior parts to go...install seat and upholstered panels when they are ready, get exhaust pipes bent and mounted, align the front end, mount up mirrors and visors. Getting lots of people stopping in to take a look at it...

    Very nice!!! I really like the silver and rose two tone! Cant wait to see it on the road.

    Thats all in the air suspension, Zig. It has a quite a range of travel with the air bags, so you set the upper ride height, and with the IFS replacing the stock front axle, it will drop down to that level.

    Yep, now that's a low setter. I hadn't noticed before that it sets so low your nuts are draggin'. How do you like the handling of the air system...do you see a difference from springs? Is your system set up to adjust front and rear separately, or each wheel independently?

    Mine is set up for front and rear, then seperate switches for each wheel. I love the air. When you get the alignment done, set the air at ride hight or just a little lower, to compensate for some pressure variances. ALWAYS seperate each wheel, otherwise you may get air transfer in the corners and adverse body roll. I highly reccommend sway bars front and rear also.

    That's pretty cool, chebby. I thought the individual settings would be good, as it seemed if they were common side to side you might get more air transfer and roll. I'm anxious to drive this one and see how it handles...

    Great looking truck, really like the two tone. What type of Air Suspension did you install and where did you purchase?

    Thanks, Ron!! I used an IFS and rear 4-link set up from Zigs; they came with the bags included. Purchased a compressor and controller from airbagit.com. Seems to be a bit more robust system than some I've seen. Just got a small air tank...think it was just a gallon...and I'm finding I should have gone bigger. I can lift the whole truck about half way up, then have to wait for the pump to build pressure again before I can go the rest of the way.

    As for the overall look of the truck...I just found an original outside visor that, in a preliminary fit-up, really did it for me. I've been debating for a while if I wanted the visor or not...seeing it on there convinced me. Getting it painted this weekend...will have some pics of the final look the first of the week...I think ya'll are gonna like it...

    Dc 5000 air compressor and 3 1/2 gallon tank from airbagit.com works great. 5 gallon tanks take WAY too long to fill up.

    Great trucks guys!!! Those are just beautiful. I love to see them looking like that as well. And plus you guys aren't afraid to drive them!!!
