Wanted to finish off the holes in the rear of the bedrails, but didn't really want to shell out the cost of the factory made options. Built a couple from 1/2" aluminum bar, cut with a hole saw, then milled to accept a small red lamp assembly I had a bunch of on hand. They drove in tight and seemed to work quite nicely... Sorry...my focus was on the wrong thing on that shot...
I thought about recessing a bit, but they'd be a bear to get back out again if you needed to replace the bulb... I agree that a larger lamp might look better...had a whole sack of these, so that's what ended up in there for now. Always a work in process, tho-
No Worries ! You're doing a bang up job there . I just like low key mods and sliding them in would hide them until they lit up .
