Finally got an AD Suburban to do. Have done short and long 1/2 tons, 1 ton with 9ft bed, grain truck, fire truck, ice cream truck, cabover, panel, sedan delivery, and a canopy express but no Suburban. It's condition is U..G..L..Y but that makes it even better. Floors and kick panels rusted, not one single seat, dash butchered, fender smashed flat, at least a hundred unexplainable holes in the firewall and top, barn door latch on rear doors, the fresh air heater louvers on the cowl replaced with screwed on ones that don't let the doors open, just everything that makes it fun. Started laying out chassis today and it will have one of my precious Pacer IFS units and a Lincoln MarkVIII IRS. Customer brought a running driving Nova the local kids would die for to use the drivetrain out of but the Nova, Camaro, Chevelle, MustangII, and later Chevy truck just suck when compared to the Pacer--too bad they're extinct. I think the Lincoln rear is very similar to what Ol Chebby used so might try to pick up a few tips there.

Yes, the lincoln is the same unit I used. If it is metric bolt pattern, Mustang Cobra hubs are supposed to swap right in to give 5x4 3/4 spacing. I had a friend at his machine shop just redrill mine.

If you have trouble finding a Pacer front end the early Camaro - Nova front ends with the rear steer work quite well. That thing looks like it was under water for awhile or came out of the salt mines... Should keep you busy for quite a while...Big Tim
