today i took apart my front leafs and took 2 pieces away, thought the truck drives better if i do that.

experience: a bad idea. the truck is swimming over the street therefore i will put the 2 leafs tomorrow to the original pack.

I hope this is why I spent extra $$$ on (2" lowered) Eaton springs. Lower stance the right way?

Often when people pull leaf springs, they just pull the short overload and the next spring off the bottom. This makes springs softer and allows them to bend and flex. I always leave the short overload...it only comes into play at the bottom of the compression anyway, then pull from every other leaf, so that you don't leave the flex point in the middle of the spring...I have seen springs break when they are able to reverse bow from too much spring removed.

Leave the overload, pull the next shortest spring, skip a spring, pull the next, etc.
